What's your favorite thing about Rockford?
• The people. I've made many personal and on-air friends over the years. The numerous public parks, entertainment venues, and restaurants we go to on a regular basis make it home for Mary and me.

What's something your listeners might be surprised to learn about you?
• Even though I am a lifetime Republican, I've supported many local Democrats over the years.

Doug's big break was a job offer at WROK in Rockford in 1965 and now that he's back in Rockford (since March of 1994) he plans on staying to finish his career out (in about 20 years). He loves living in Rockford with his wife Mary and together they have a son Doug Jr, a daughter Heather. His family expands with son-in-law Tim and a daughter-in-law Patti and his grandchildren Ian, Olivia, Harrison and Theodore.
