Rockford Police say three people were treated for gunshot wounds early Sunday morning. Police say they responded to an exchange of gunfire between the occupants of two cars at the 2200 block of 11th street. Police say an adult male checked into a local hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his leg. Police say the shooting victim was not cooperative. Police say a short time later... they responded to a car crashed into a tree at the 1100 block of 9th Avenue. No one was near the vehicle...but moments later a man checked into the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his head. His injuries are not life threatening. Police say a suspect's vehicle was found abandoned on the city's west side. Another adult male checked into the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his wrist area. Police say it's not clear whether the three incidents are related. Also Sunday morning...Police say a man was stabbed in the leg at the 1500 block of Spring Court. His injury is not considered to be life threatening. So far..no arrests in any of the above incidents.
