Suspect shot during attempted robbery at liquor store

   One suspect was shot during an attempted armed robbery at a local liquor store.   Winnebago County Sheriffs Police say two men tried to rob Mosey's Liquor Store, 4203 West State Street, shortly after midnight. Police say the suspects exchanged gunfire with a store employee. One suspect, 21 year old James E. Taylor, was shot and is in serious condition at a local hospital. Police say Taylor is charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. Police are looking for the second suspect described as a black male, 5'10 to 6 feet tall. Police say he was wearing dark clothing with a hoody and had his face covered. Police say they recovered one of the suspect's guns as well as a gun used by the store employee.
