The Rockford Area Economic Development Council loses its leader. RAEDC President Janyce Fadden has resigned  after nearly eight years at the helm. Fadden says "I am proud of the many successes our team was able to accomplish during these eight years, but I have come to the personal decision that I want to be closer to my family at this stage in my life, so I will be leaving Rockford."  RAEDC  Chairman Joel Sjostrom said " The board was very reluctant to accept Janyce's resignation. We have always been extremely pleased with her leadership and results."  The RAEDC Board of Directors is interviewing candidates to fill Fadden's position. She will remain on the job until the board selects her replacement.
