Rockford Police investigate a robbery to an east side business. Police say Payless Shoes, 6059 East State Street, was robbed shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday by a man who implied he was armed with a weapon. Police say the suspect fled on foot after he was given some cash. The suspect is described as a white male, 6'2, and 220 pounds. Police say the suspect was wearing a tan jacket and a scarf. No one was injured during the robbery.
