The local real estate market continues its recovery. 232 single family homes and condos were sold in Winnebago and Boone Counties during January. That's up 7.4 percent compared to figures from January of last year and it's the best January showing since 2007. The Rockford Area Association of Realtors says the average sale price of a single family home in the two county survey area is $99,173. That's up 5.1 percent compared to figures from January of 2012.
