A condemned building on Rockford's northwest side catches fire. Investigators say the fire broke out at approximately 3 p.m. Monday at 501 Kilburn Avenue. Authorities say the fire was contained within five minutes. No one was inside the building at the time and no injuries are reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage to the vacant building is estimated at $40,000.
