Rockford's Frontier League Professional Baseball team has a new name...it's the Aviators. Team President Bryan Wickline says Aviators was selected from the more than 3,000 entries to the "Name the Team" contest. Wickline says Aviators  is a name that has strong ties to the region's history and a connection to something current and growing within the area. Dennis Blahunka of Loves Park submitted  "Aviators"  first  and is the Grand Prize Winner of the Name The Team Contest. He wins two season tickets to the Aviators games for life.
