Over 80 representatives from area police agencies and the criminal justice system are slated to take part in Winnebago County's first-ever crime summit today. The event is being held at the Chicago/Rockford Airport and was put together by Winnebago County Board Chairman Scott Christiansen. The Chairman's office says the summit will address crime prevention through cooperative policing and best practices. Former Winnebago County States Attorney Paul Logli will moderate the event.
