Rockford Police are releasing the name of the woman who was hit by a truck early this morning on East State Street between Trainer and Mill Roads. Police say 48 year old Kelly A. Kroon had been struck while in the roadway by an armored truck. Police say they responded to the incident at 2:19 a.m. New Year's Day. Winnebago County Coroner Sue Fiduccia says Kelly Kroon was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:01 a.m. Tuesday.An autopsy is pending for Kroon...whom Fiduccia says lived in Belvidere. Fiduccia says toxicology tests will be available in approximately 2 weeks.
