A Christmas Day house fire on Rockford's west side is under investigation. The fire broke out shortly before 5:30 Tuesday morning at 719 Kent Street. Investigators say the fire was contained to the second story of the two story residence. One person was treated for smoke inhalation. Damage to the house is pegged at $60,000 dollars. Fire on Christmas Eve damaged a house on Rockford's Southeast side. The fire broke out Monday morning at 1635 Westview Drive. The fire was contained in the attic. No one was hurt. Damage to the house is pegged at $75,000 dollars. The fire is being called accidental.
