It appears the same man robbed two northwest Rockford businesses last night. Police say a man with a pocket knife robbed Family Dollar, 3124 North Rockton Avenue, shortly before 7:30 Thursday night. Police say one store employee suffered a small scratch while confronting the suspect who ran south towards Summerdale playground. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's. He's about 5'7 and 180 pounds. Police say a man matching that description robbed Domino's Pizza, 2922 North Main Street, shortly before 11:30 last night. Police say the suspect pulled a knife and demanded money before running westbound on Pierce Avenue. Police say the suspect may have fled in an older model maroon or red four door Buick.
