Rockford Police are reminding motorists that they will be monitoring activity around school busses.
State law requires all drivers to stop for properly marked school busses when flashing lights and stop arms are activated for loading and unloading children.
Police say when a bus is engaged in loading or unloading children, vehicular traffic must stop in both directions. A roadway with four or more lanes has limitations to the requirement.
Drivers who are convicted of the law will see their drivers license suspended for three months.
