The Rockford School Board votes to reduce the amount of money it will collect from property owners.
The board voted unanimously on its 2012 tax levies which will be without the 58 cent levy from the Kids Win campaign. Board member Tim Rollins says that means it will collect about $16 million less from one year to the next.
The board also voted not to collect the extra three percent consumer price index the district is entitled to.
